A charter of challenging deep sea fishing with the spirited and hard
fighting sailfish can most be appreciated and enjoyed by the fishing
angler in the Ko Rok and Ko Adang trip. Situated some 80 kilometres
south of Phuket along the Thai isthmus towards Malaysia, these two
groups of islands offer not only some of the best saltwater fishing
in the world but offer some of the most picturesque beauty of virtually
uninhabited islands and white powdery beaches. The crystal clear waters
and underwater marine life make snorkeling and diving leisure activities
to also enjoy on this trip.
The underwater marine environment
offers a spectacular world to explore. Scuba diving is an option while
chartering the Andaman Hooker or the Dorado.
A PADI divemaster can take the diving enthusiast to the choice spots
for diving and all the necessary equipment is available from a qualified
and licensed dive shop. If you choose to include
diving in your charter, remember to bring yourwater diving certificate.
Chefs on board these boats serve
both Thai and European cuisines. Dishes naturally centre on your deep
sea catches of the day and can be cooked in a variety of ways from
barbeques to fish frys upon your suggestions or upon recommendation
from the chef.
Charters to Ko Rok and Ko Adang are for
periods of four days/three nights, five days/four nights and six days/five
nights.
Fishing South of Phuket The waters in this
area host a variety of fish from Giant Trevally, Tuna, Dorado, Barracuda,
Wahoo, Blue Finned Trevally, Cobia, Narrow Barred Mackerel (Tenggiri)
to Rainbow Runners. The focus of this charter is the catch of the larger
gamefish such as Black Marlin and specifically, sailfish. What a delight
for the first time “sailfisher” to land his or her first sailfish from
the deep waters of the Andaman Sea! This trip provides a great opportunity
to try different fishing techniques to catch the various species of fish
– from drift fishing with live and dead baits, bottom fishing and trolling
with natural baits and lures.
