Phuket Deep Sea Fishing

One of the world’s top fishing destinations, Phuket offers tremendous opportunities to experience the thrill of big game fishing in a tropical paradise. Sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, mountains and vegetation provide the launch point from which the deep sea angler can explore the many species of fish that the Andaman Sea has to offer. Phuket enjoys all year round fishing season with the month of November being when the variety of fish are most abundant.

Phuket Deep Sea Fishing offers day trips to the islands of Racha Noi and Racha Yai, Maiton, Kai and to other destinations. The Racha Islands lie 18 kilometres directly south of Phuket and offer some tremendous opportunities for catching such species of gamefish as Giant Trevally, Tuna, Dorado, Barracuda, Wahoo, Blue Finned Trevally, Cobia, Narrow Barred Mackerel (Tenggiri) and Rainbow Runners. For the big gamefishing enthusiast, Black Marlin, Sailfish and several species of sharks can be found within the deeper waters of this area. Both trolling and bottom fishing techniques can be used to catch these fish.

09:30:	Trolling starts
10:30:	Arrive at Racha Yai, Racha Noi
12:00-13:00:	Lunch served on board. Optional time for swimming and relaxing
13:00:	Back to fishing
15:30:	Trolling back to Chalong pier
17:00:	Arrive at Chalong Bay and transfer to your hotel

The day trip program is only a recommended itinerary. Phuket Deep Dea Fishing encourages you to discuss your itinerary with the boat captain for a more customized trip. You may wish to choose to fish in a certain destination or to fish for a specific type of fish. For example when fishing for sailfish, we take the morning to fish for live bait and then, the afternoon is all sailfishing! The End of the Fishing Day
Smaller fish can be kept and taken ashore for cooking and eating. Many local restaurants will cook your fish and one that we highly recommend is Don's Cafe in Nai Harn. This restaurant is a great place to enjoy a relaxing meal.
