Join us for
some deep sea angling and explore the unexplored in the Andaman
Islands, an area that has the potential to be one of the hottest
fishing spots in the world! 664 kilometres west of Phuket lie this
archipelago of 329 islands, an unspoiled region of uncharted waters
that has never known any commercial fishing. The underwater terrain
of mountains and canyons provide a home and a playground for a wide
variety of gamefish - from Dogtooth Tunas, Yellowfin Tunas, Wahoos,
Giant Trevallys and King Mackerels to the larger billfish of Blue
Marlin, Black Marlin and Sailfish as well as 10 species of sharks
including Reef, Tiger and Black Tip Sharks. The Andaman Islands
trip is ideal for the hard-core angler where the possibility to
catch large billfish in great numbers is there. Experience some
of the best saltwater fishing you could possibly imagine!
Fishing
boats chartered in the Andaman Islands trip are long range boats
that are equipped with all the amenities to make your liveaboard
stay a comfortable and enjoyable one. Four
persons is the suggested number to sleep comfortably on board with
a maximum of five persons. Charters in the Andamans are available
during the months of February and March. Five days is the minimum
amount of time that a charter can be booked.

Chefs on board these
boats serve an array of Thai and Western cuisine. Barbeques are a big
feature on charters - steaks and other meats in addition to the catches
of the day - a mouth-watering sight on the grill. Fish is the focus of
meals and can be cooked in a variety of ways from barbeques to fish frys
upon your suggestions or enjoy the chef's special creation of fish cooked
flavoured with local herbs and spices. Snacks of sushi or sashimi from
freshly caught tuna make a delectable snack! (We provide the sauce!)
Take the opportunity to explore the spectacular
underwater world of the Andaman Islands! Scuba diving is an optional activity
on these trips while chartering the Andaman Hooker. You may bring your
own equipment or we can provide equipment obtained from a reputable and
licensed dive shop. A licensed PADI divemaster will be on board to lead
the dives. If you choose to scuba dive, contact us at the time of your
booking so that the necessary arrangements can be made. Be sure to bring
proper diving certification, ie. PADI Open Water Card.

necessary that you obtain a tourist visa for India prior to your arrival
and have an additional stamp in your passport allowing you to enter the
Andaman Islands. Apply for these stamps

Booking Procedures:
It is important to be aware that boats chartering in the Andaman Islands
require three days travel from home base Phuket to the Andamans and three
days back. When booking your charter, kindly ensure that a period of three
days on each end of your trip is open and that the boat is not booked.
For example, if a charter of five days is booked, the boat will be booked
for the period of that five day charter but must also be considered to
be available for your trip for an additional period of the three days
travel time that are allotted before the start date and the three days
that are allotted after the finish date, totaling an 11 day period. Note
that you are not charged for this six-day period travelling time but only
for the the days you book for your fishing trip. This booking procedure
is necessary to ensure that there is no overlap of bookings. If this process
is not considered you may have difficulties booking your Andaman Islands
trip. Be sure to check the calendar on the booking page closely when you
are choosing the dates of your trip. Refer back to this page for clarification
